AJ Ridge,
By all means i guess you could sus the sourses out yourself to see if
there are any 'callbacks' made within the hacks themselvs,
for example no hack should have files included or sent to no other
server (only your own). with exceptions of images... flash is still
risky no matter what flash file is used...

I only inquire because I really appreciate what you do. I am not
attempting to cast any negative doubt in any way, just curious.

So would it be true that a hack would be less demanding on the site
resources? No DB hit would make it seem that way. And... How are end
users who are not really savvy assured that the hack is not going to
"hack" their site? Know what I mean? Is there is system you plan to use
to check that out, or is it "As Is" at "Your Own Risk"?

A hack is an addition or modification to existing code to alter or add
functionality to e107. An example would be my reply only forums that
adds the ability to limit who can start a topic to a specific userclass
but others can still reply.
A plugin is an additional program that uses access to the db through
e107 while using it's separate code to do something (forums, calendar,
latest posts, etc...)
