Repost by me from -LINK- :
The normal forum.php displays all the parents, forums and subforums.
I want a new page, lets call it
forum_viewparent.php wich is a copy
of forum.php with a bit of a hack to only display a specific Partent only.
If you go /forum.php it displays
Parent 1
: Vanguard
- Forum : Guild Area
- Forum : General Discusion
- Forum : Classes
- - Subforum : Warrior
- - Subforum : Mage
- - Subforum : etc
- Forum : Harvesting
- - Subforum : Luberjacking
- - Subforum : Mining
Parent 2
: World of warcraft
- Forum : Guild Area
- Forum : General Discusion
- Forum : Classes
- - Subforum : Warrior
- - Subforum : Mage
- - Subforum : etc
- Forum : Harvesting
- - Subforum : Luberjacking
- - Subforum : Mining
If ya go to /forum_viewparent.php?2 it only
displays parent 2
Parent 2
: World of warcraft
- Forum : Guild Area
- Forum : General Discusion
- Forum : Classes
- - Subforum : Warrior
- - Subforum : Mage
- - Subforum : etc
- Forum : Harvesting
- - Subforum : Luberjacking
- - Subforum : Mining
Here we go:
- Download the .zip from -LINK-
- Unzip that 1 file to
e107_plugins/forum/
- And create links to a parent category
./e107_plugins/forum/ forum_viewparent.php?xxx
(where xxx use the id number of the parent you want to show)
See it at work :
Normal all parents view - -LINK-
Show only the World of warcraft Parent - -LINK-
I hope someone will pick this up, add it to the forum plugin. Or integrate the
feature in a new forum plugin.
